Mr. Gutter

We needed service and modification or replacement on prior gutter installation performed by this company after new roof install. Representative was rude, derogatory, and condescending. Also refused to service their prior installation, quote a replacement, or provide a short section of the material so that we could do our own repair.

While initial install was satisfactory, complete unwillingness to assist with service/repair/replacement of matching material is unacceptable.

We contacted Mr. Gutter on Monday to check our gutter that broke off. He was out on Tuesday. Advised we needed a new roof. Sent over the quote that day. We had the roof replaced and Mr. Gutter was out the following Friday. Completed the new gutters in a few hours. The price was perfect, Peri was available for any questions. I would recommend Mr. Gutter to anyone looking to replace their gutters.

I must confess this is not a review on the quality of their work, I did not hire them. This is a review on their inability to be civil humans and their unwillingness to not park in the middle of the townhomes street blocking people in. We've had many workers here before and never had this issue. They must feel entitled to park wherever they want so as not to inconvenience them. It doesn't matter who they inconvenience, extremely unprofessional. When I asked them to park about 100 feet away, where there would be plenty of room, they said "absolutely not, we're not going anywhere." I guess they didn't like me, a homeowner in the complex questioning them. They then commented to each other "what's his problem?" "I dunno, I guess he's got mental issues." I must say that made me laugh, still very unprofessional. I hope they can, in the future, respect the homeowners who live where they are working. Our street is not your parking lot Mr. Gutter.

Above and beyond the call of service!

Gutters were the last on our list as we remodeled our home. Perry was recommended by our roofer, Crummett Construction who also did an awesome job. Referrals should not be given lightly, as they are also a reflection of the one referring. In this case, Cody did us a solid. Perry came out within a few days of my call and gave me an estimate on the spot, which was very competitive. After reading a number of reviews on line, we decided to go with Mr. Gutter. As we were not in a hurry, we scheduled out about 4 weeks. In the meantime, we narrowed our color choices, based on the sample sheet he left with us. We called the office and they promptly dropped off actual samples of the material for us to match against our house. We confirmed the color with the office and were scheduled.

The day before the install, we got a call from his wife, stating that Perry had a heart attack...never a good thing. She apologized...I said there was no need, health is way more important than my install. She said she would get back to me when Perry was back on his feet. Well, 3 days later we get a call back saying that he was back at it and could do our install on Sunday. On a Sunday! What contractor does that? I was more concerned about his health, but she said he was fine. Low and behold, 8am Sunday morning, Perry and his 2 man crew were at the house ready to go. We chatted a little bit about his condition, he looked fine and commenced with the job.

Without question, Perry and his crew were professional, answered my questions and asked me about drainage placement around the house. They were quiet, efficient and left the place spotless. The gutters are a perfect match to our trim and have already proved themselves with the recent rain. Hopefully they perform well in the winter!

A great job done on time and on the money.

It is rare that I write negative reviews, but people need to know about this.

I am here to corroborate other Yelpers who have pointed out the poor treatment they have received from this business.

Mr. Gutter was contracted to fix a property overlooking mine. I was not aware and thus was rudely notified when one of their heavy-set men slammed a ladder on the front of my home (with no notice) and began walking around on my roof to access the other property.

I asked this individual what he was doing. After ignoring me initially, he responded by yelling "I'm working!"

All he needed to say was "We are fixing the property above yours. Sorry for the trouble." That's it. I would not be here otherwise.

I went out to ask him what I did to him, thinking maybe I offended him somehow. He responded with more hostilities, telling me "mind your own business." I think the roof of my home counts, but I'm no expert.

I asked for his supervisor. This person said he was both the supervisor and the owner and that he doesn't answer to me.

I asked if he thought this was an appropriate way to conduct himself. His exact words were "What, do you want me to stand in front of you and beat the shit out of you?" When I asked if he was threatening me, he denied it.

Two other men were with him. One of them was fairly apologetic, stating that this behavior was common.

When I took a couple pictures for documentation purposes, the man in question yelled down more insults from my roof, calling me "a strange dude" and "one weird cat" and repeatedly telling me to mind my own business.

It is my opinion that this man, if he is indeed Perri Adams and the owner of Mr. Gutter, needs to learn a hard lesson about public relations and market forces. Maybe the guy was having a bad day. Maybe he was just in a bad mood. Whatever it is, his lack of ability to conduct himself in a professional manner negates any quality services he may offer.

I sincerely hope that Mr. Adams (if that was indeed who I dealt with) will learn why his poor attitude and hostility does not pay. It would not surprise me to learn that this man has an arrest record or anger management issues. If the person I dealt with was not Mr. Adams, I hope he is terminated. Either way, he needs an attitude adjustment, hopefully before he addresses the wrong person with it.

This is one of those situations where, given what I know now about this business, I would gladly pay a competitor more just to avoid having to deal with this sort of behavior. The bar for professionalism isn't set terribly high -- it takes a special sort of arrogance and hostility to miss it entirely.

I used this company for gutter work on the old house last year.

Perri was easy to schedule an appointment with to come see what the house needed. He was on time, if not just a little early, and he spent some time making sure if the area and color that was to be done. I scheduled an install time right then.

My job was pretty small, just one side of the house on the second floor needed a gutter system, so Perri had a small crew on the install. It didn't take them much time at all and there was no mess when they left.

I was pleased with the color match and the price was very fair. I didn't see the need to even check out any competitors. I wish my current HOA would use him for a gutter system on my new place.

While it took a while to get ahold of this company and have them do our gutters, I also understand they have been kept very busy. Once we were able to arrange an estimated everything went very smooth and quick, and the gutters look great.

I got prices from 4 gutter installation companies. Mr. Gutter and Magic Gutters were priced the lowest. Mr. Gutter was the only company who could fit me into their schedule right away (within a week). The rest were booked out long-term, over a month out.
THINGS TO KNOW:
1) He uses a service to answer calls, so the people who answer are basically relaying your message to him. NO WORRIES... he returns calls right away and is GREAT to work with!
2) His crew arrived on time, they were clean & respectful, and they completed our small gutter install in about an hour. And, the gutters look very nice.
3) I waited a few months to write my review to be sure my gutters held up. So far, so good. No leaks!

I highly recommend Mr. Gutter for fast response, and quality workmanship. I also recommend Magic Gutters, who we have previously used, but they are booked out further.

Mr. Gutter installed new seamless rain gutters on our house a few weeks ago. Perri was courteous and professional; he explained the work involved, he answered questions, he patiently went through color options and made sure we were happy with our choice. When installation day arrived Perri got to our house early and went to work immediately. The gutters were installed in about 2 1/2 hours. My husband and I are highly impressed with the quality and the look of our new gutters; we recommend Perri of Mr. Gutter!
