Donovan Contracting

If I could give a zero I would. The story is much too long but suffice it to say, there was damage created and Donovan took no responsibility for it AND wanted to charge to repair their damages. Don't use.

My residence had a structural issue that demanded prompt attention. Donovan Contracting used the engineers' specifications to obtain a building permit. This took some time and Relina actively kept me updated during the permit process. Gary and Patrick were ***outstanding*** in completing the project to the engineers' specifications. My experience with Donovan Contracting was terrific from start to finish. I consider Donovan Contracting an asset to our community and strongly recommend them to my fellow residents and business owners.

I had new flooring installed and the installer hit a water pipe creating a slow hidden lean that took out my kitchen dinningroom livingroom 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and the laundry room. Donovan came in and repaired everything. Every single worker was professional and tjey worked hard for days. Tjey gave me my home back just in time for Christmas and I am so grateful.

Working with Donovan contracting has been a very pleasant experience. I had a full house remodel due to a leak inside the wall. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and kind. They showed up when they said they would and their work was impeccable. I would use them again for any house project.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Had a small incident with the company leaving a sharp tool in the middle of the road by a job site & my tire was beyond punctured. At first the GC (Garrett) on site took full responsibility & was very apologetic, which made me think this process would be easily & efficiently handled by a big company. Then Jenn decided to deny & falsify the story saying they had "no fault" in this as they were doing landscaping on the property. I drive by the property everyday on my route to work & I can guarantee they were in the home doing work. I physically had to enter this strangers residence, walk halfway up the INSIDE garage stairs to yell "hello, anyone around" before the GC heard me and came down the stairs to chat. If landscaping is now inside, I'd love to see that...
They have resorted to "ghosting" replies on any emails & denying any resolution of any sort. Couldn't even reimburse me for the $20 plug that DIDN'T hold.... Disgusted with this situation & the people I've had the displeasures of communicating with for two months.

My master bathroom had water damage and was demolished by a restoration company. I have since been dealing with Donovan since October of 2022. It is nearing the end of March in 2023 and I am still without a completed bathroom and am unable to use the shower. They took until the very end of January to even start the project. The communication from the company has been abysmal and I've had to go through at least 5 different people. On February 13th, I received an email advising that their crews had completed the job. However, when I arrived home from work, there was no shower enclosure or door installed, only a wide open shower. Since then, I've been waiting for a 3rd party company to install the shower enclosure. All of this, and they refused to provide any sort of discount. This is unacceptable for a business that is supposed to be "professional". It is very frustrating, especially for a recently single father of a toddler; I do not have the time nor financial means to be dealing with this sort of poor service or having to change my schedule last minute.

These folks cut corners at every step, they were supposed to redo my deck / roof of a downstairs patio. The first year they just changed the flashing against the house and recited the surface, needless to say it all peeled the first winter and the water continued to leak into downstairs walls and living area. The next summer they returned and pulled up all of the sheeting except around the outside edge and flashings, they put it all back down and coated with urethane but did not replace the membrane over the sheeting do the outside edges were roughly 5/16" higher than the deck creating a pool, this in turn backed up water against the walls and door thresholds that weren't properly sealed and once again flooded my down stairs living area even worse than before. The "professional" painters got the coating all over the house and screens and then touched up the house and spilled all over the deck, you can't make this stuff up! In the end, I paid Donovan just short of $25k and now I'm finally leak proof after a total investment of about $71k. The man whose name is on the door could care less and has nothing to do with monitoring the job and his Supes spend most of their time at a coffee shop or casino.

I would NEVER use this company again ever!. The estimator took days to call me back. The work was cheap and shoddy. I used them to remodel a rental unit. They said I could pick the flooring but never asked me for my pick...they went ahead and chose cheap crap. They never included the new windows in the original quote which I wanted nor told me the windows were not included. The list goes on and on.....again avoid them at all costs. They have teken months to finish a very easy job...

Good folks, great work, and very responsive. We used Donovan for a bath remodel and they were efficient and easy to work with.

Donovan did a restoration project on our bathroom after it was damaged by water. The craftsmanship was top notch and the best customer service of any contractor I have worked with. Always communicated with us and let us know what to expect and when. Outstanding crews. I would hire them again without hesitation and recommend them to anyone looking to have work done.
