MK House Consulting

It was about a year ago we engaged MK House to meet and estimate several years of deferred maintenance. They have been great to work with, honest and if there is ever a problem, they make it right. That has been hard to find in this industry and they definitely earn the business with the workmanship and quality.

I've had the pleasure of meeting most of the team in the last year as we have had work in just about every trade you can think of. They've gone above and beyond more than once on short notice and I don't hesitate recommending them to anyone.

Thanks to Kira who has always been on top of the projects we have, is amazing at communicating and ensuring these projects are completed in a timely fashion! Also thanks to all the trades and back office staff for their support this past year!

Imagine starting a project in October 2021 and still not having it complete in March of 2022? Imagine having the workman cause a major problem -- cracking the tub on removal -- and being left for 3 more months with no solution -- even when the solution is simple. Unfortunately, I don't have to imagine. That is what has happened working with MK House.

Even more unfortunate, MK House is who my HOA uses to solve problems. We are no small client. We have over 120 active units. If this is the way they treat their consistent customers, how will they treat you?

My journey is well documented. I will share with anyone thinking of using them. I am currently exploring what my options are.

Our HOA started a roofing project with MK last summer. The project has been a complete disaster. They did terrible work and used the wrong materials for the type of roof that we have on our townhomes. When approached with the issue they walked off the job. We are now in a legal battle because they refuse to admit being wrong. They took all of our money despite an incomplete project.

Do not use this company unless you don't mind subpar work and them taking forever to complete a job. MK House taken over 6 months to complete 3 out of 7 roofs and it has been nearly a month on a 4th roof.

As for the sub par work on the first group they did there was some sag in it instead of replacing the sagging sub Roofing they decided they were going to try to ship a tile roof they ended up having to take the roof apart again so they can put new materials down for this summer. If you don't call that in confidence I don't know what it is.

We now have sap with a portable potty sitting outside some of the homes for the whole duration of this time which we have to smell on a daily basis and we've also had a massive portable dumpster occupying at least one parking space at all times during this whole period. I've never seen a project take so long it would make you wonder if they're getting paid by the hour and not by the project itself.

Mr. House send out apology letters for failing to show up to meetings that he wanted with homeowners and then he gives us work like this I would never recommend this company I will always give it a poor rating and I doubt that I will ever be able to say anything positive about this company unless it was to go out of business or refund all the money back to the condo complex that I live in.

The workers City hires also have gone and thrown their equipment and the roofing tiles on to people's air-conditioners which are on the roofs we had to have the management company contact the company on several occasions and chastise them about this Behavior.

I doubt I will ever be able to say anything positive about MK house or the people that run the company unless they would all quit and the company went out of business or they refunded all funds back to anybody they've ever been hired by because they've shown nothing but a lack of respect for the people that they are hired by.

Do yourself a favor find another company. We hired a company to do painting and they were able to do a better job and for half the price of what Mk house will charge and they used a better product.

Quality of workmanship was very marginal with some work downright poor, and customer service was a minus 5. We had a job which should have taken 3-4 months, and it took a year for them to complete, then another 6 months to finish the list of items that needed redone or touched up. I emailed them regularly with an initial response back saying my email was referred to the production department, and then NO follow through for weeks at a time. I would never, ever recommend this company or use them again.

This guy Lucas p. is somewhat new to this company and not a great person to have as part of your team.He is unorganized,unprofessional,and Rips you off.i paid this guy over few thousand dollars probably closer to 4grand to do my floors,cabinets,shower,hand rail.He was doing my house as a side job....every job he has does I give half the money up front and we agreed on the rest at the end of the job but every single job he asked me for money here and there I gave it to him always cause I felt bad .he also takes a LONG time to complete his work. Took him a month to just do my cabinet alone! And 2 weeks to do flooring and he would always call out . On top of it every job he has done for me he has never completed 100% but I trusted him because I gave him money as times was rough.the last job painting my bathroom he asked for 20 extra dollars and would paint my second bathroom as he really needed the money .so I gave him a extra 20 he promise he would be back the next day and never came back! I told him on text how upset I was because I gave him extra money that he asked for and promise he would come back and never did he even promised me the day he didn't show that he would come next day and after that it was it . No reply from him at all with multiple messages . On top of it never finished all his previous jobs in my house and took 15 more dollars from me as he said he would get a replacement part for my toilet and he did but was wrong he said he would go back and get correct part and never did we were without a toilet for a month .i trust him because he is a husband to a girl that I known since I was young. Very unprofessional and screws people over . It been about a month and every time I look at my cabinets reminds me of what a asshole move he did after all I did for him on top of him bringing his kid to work and ya providing food for his son.no call no text back and no money back .btw he ruining my cabinets I paid 2 grand for in my bathroom as when he was painting my bathroom and removed tape.your a thief !

Installed the wrong materials along the bottom of my community's garage doors. Eventually removed wrong materials, and re-painted the damage with the wrong paint. They have not been out to re-paint since, and are saying that the paint is the right paint, that it just needs time to fade. The worst. I wish I could add a picture to this review.

What a pleasure to work with this company! Helpful, personable and diagnose the issue without any hassle!! Truly there to help whatever issue is present. Adam, Chad and the crew were very nice, and boy do they know their stuff! Cut into the ceiling and had the problem resolved in 10 minutes. Trust me, this is the company to trust! Especially if you're renting a unit!

MK housing really helped us out. We were in a bind and they came up with a solution that worked in our favor! They were unbelievable! Christine has phenomenal people skills. So did Kayla, although I worked more closely with Christine. I will definitely recommend this company!
