Action Electric

Action Electric has worked on my houses in SJV for more than a decade. Everything from ceiling fans, pressure pumps etc. superb company.

I was given a quote from Adam, he said the job would take two to three days with two workers for $5,926.17. The actual job took one worker just over eight hours but still cost $5,926.17. I feel Adam misrepresented the work that needed to be done.

Tony with Action came out to my home to install a motion light and add an outlet outside for my patio. He was very professional and polite. He cleaned up everything and left it looking better than before.
He has previously come out to my home to install a sub panel which is easily my favorite electrical upgrade. Makes plugging my RV in a breeze!

Well I was hoping the experience I had wouldn't come to this but unfortunately it has. When you get good service you expect repeated results when choosing to be loyal to a company. This didn't happen and it was unfortunate due to me needing to now find another company to complete this project. Here's the elevator version of what happened. I have this company come out, the work begins, but not after going to his can 4 times before starting the work. This becomes normal throughout the process. To make it even better, the electrician leaves to go buy supplies for just over an hour and returns. They charged me for this hour of "work". Then he returns with the pieces and during the install he ruins a drill bit. Leaves to his truck and brings back another drill bit. There were at least 5 trips he had to make to his truck, talk about not having your stuff together. We were about to have him do the next part of our project but realized the amount of time he was taking would not get any better. To encourage him to leave, I suggested maybe holding off until another time. It's so unfortunate to have good service one time and terrible service the next.

Our dimmer switch stopped working in our kitchen in the house we rent.
We called the landlords and Karina from Action Electric called me this morning and left a message.
When I called back she said it would probably be tomorrow before a technician could be out.
She called back in fifteen minutes and said she had someone that could be here today and Anthony would call me to schedule and told me the number he'd call from.
He called minutes later verifying the problem and type of switch we had and said he'd be here within a half hour.
He and another young man (sorry forgot his name!)
came and were friendly and had masks on, I appreciated that and also wore my mask.
I showed them the switch and within 15 minutes they were done and the lights work perfect again!
Happy with the professionalism and turn around time!

Now that I have several months to cool off from their horrible, overpriced, barely ethical service, I can safely say that you should watch these guys (and their billing practices) like a hawk.

They seem to not hear specific instructions and then, when the job is done, hand you a bill that is clearly a rip-off.

I guess their actual work is fine, that is, if you don't mind paying double what it's worth.

Such a relief to get somebody who knew exactly what he was doing! He fixed what 4 previous electricians could not figure out. Thank you! I will use this company from now on

You exceeded our highest expetations installing the fixtures, doing all the electrical work, your knowledge, professionalism, attention to details, was exceptional. I also have to add that it was so much fun too!

Great service from the staff at Action Electric. The technician was early and what should have been a simple job evolved into a two hour project due to the design of the house. Will use them again.
